Position: Quantity Surveyor Department: Projects / Contracts & Billing Reporting To: Site Manager / Project Manager Role Purpose: The Quantity Surveyor shall be responsible for quantity estimation, measurement, billing, cost control, rate analysis, and contract administration for slope stabilization, soil nailing, rock anchoring, gabion structure, and associated civil works projects. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates based on drawings and project specifications. • Verify site measurements and maintain measurement records. • Prepare client bills, subcontractor bills, and reconciliation statements. • Monitor project quantities, costs, and budget utilization. • Conduct rate analysis for various construction activities. • Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and cost comparison statements. • Coordinate with site engineers and project managers for quantity verification. • Track material consumption and prepare quantity reconciliation reports. • Assist in contract administration, variation claims, and extra item assessments. • Review work progress and support project planning and cost control activities. • Maintain proper documentation related to billing, measurements, and project costs. • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and project specifications. Educational Qualification: • B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering with minimum 3 years of relevant experience, OR • Diploma in Civil Engineering with minimum 7 years of relevant experience. Requirements • Experience in slope stabilization and hill slope protection projects. • Experience in: Soil Nailing Works Rock Anchoring Works Gabion Structure Works Retaining Structures Slope Protection Works • Experience in quantity estimation, billing, BOQ preparation, and rate analysis. • Knowledge of project cost control and contract management. • Experience in client billing and subcontractor billing processes. Desired Skills: • Strong understanding of quantity surveying principles. • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and quantity estimation software. • Knowledge of BOQ preparation and rate analysis. • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. • Good analytical and numerical skills. • Strong communication and coordination abilities.
