We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing all costs related to building and civil engineering projects, ensuring that they are completed within budget. This position requires a strong understanding of construction processes and the ability to provide accurate cost estimates and financial advice throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects based on drawings, specifications, and site visits.
Monitor project costs and conduct regular financial reporting to ensure adherence to budgets.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to discuss project progress and resolve any issues that may arise.
Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for cost control measures.
Assist in the preparation of tender documents and evaluate bids from contractors.
Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements throughout the project duration.
Skills
Strong proficiency in cost control methodologies and practices.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with various stakeholders.
Proficient in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
