Position: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Lubumbashi, DRC Congo
We are hiring a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to provide expert project cost management support to our Managing Director. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work on prestigious real estate developments in Lubumbashi.
Key Responsibilities:
-Prepare detailed project cost estimates, budgets, and schedules.
-Ensure timely project completion within approved budgets.
-Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to drive cost-effective construction solutions.
-Manage and verify Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for all finishing works.
-Conduct quantity take-offs, rate analysis, and material reconciliation.
-Review project contracts, specifications, and drawings for clarity on scope and deliverables.
-Develop tender documents, cost estimates, and assist in bidding processes.
-Negotiate contract prices, terms, and agreements with suppliers and contractors.
-Prepare and deliver project progress, financial, and budget reports.
-Coordinate with site teams to monitor progress and validate work quantities for billing. —-Track and control project costs, identifying and resolving budget variances.
-Oversee procurement activities, including supplier selection and negotiations.
-Maintain construction material and equipment inventories.
-Identify project risks and recommend cost optimization measures.
-Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
-Utilize software tools for cost estimation, scheduling, and project management.
-Knowledge of residential interior design build execution process is an advantage.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
-4–8 years in quantity surveying, billing, and finishing works, preferably for high-rise real estate projects.
-Strong analytical, negotiation, and financial management skills.
-Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
-High level of discretion, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
-Proven ability to manage executive-level tasks and coordinate complex project activities.
-Skilled in cost estimation, scheduling, and project management tools.
-Familiarity with residential interior design and build execution.
What We Offer:
