Madisons Recruitment are currently working with a highly reputable main contractor in their search for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis.

Our client specialise in the following sectors:

Your responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining upon client relationships.
  • Commercially management of contracts: application preparation, Identify and value client change requests, managing client valuations.
  • Serve contract notices in accordance with the contract, and customer / company policy.
  • Sub-Contractor commercial management: Tendering process and negotiations, Placing orders, and contracts. Managing subcontractors’ applications, variations, payments, and final accounts.
  • Ongoing liaison with site team, subcontractors, and Customers’ representatives.
  • Project Reporting. Reporting to Senior staff; Compiling Monthly CVR Reports and commercial risk report and cost forecast.
  • Building and implementing systems of work within the QS department to achieve the above.

Requirements:

  • Degree within Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying / equivalent qualification
  • 5- 8 years of relevant QS construction experience, including JCT management.
  • Knowledge in construction planning and understanding of construction execution.
  • Ability to manage contracts, calculations, and budgets
  • Positive, Self-assured and motivated
  • Productive, flexible and eager to learn
  • A natural leader, motivating and inspiring
  • Willing to travel across the country and abroad as required
