Quantity Surveyor (Oil & Gas) Location: - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Company: - A leading, public-listed engineering group About the Role: We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our project delivery team. In this role, you will contribute to major projects for oil & gas plants and large industrial factories. Your primary responsibility will be to manage project costs and contracts, ensuring that projects such as maintenance and plant shutdowns are completed within budget. What You Will Do: - Manage Costs: Track all project expenditures and prepare financial reports. - Payments: Review and approve payment claims submitted by contractors. - Changes: Administer Variation Orders (VOs) and manage any changes to the project scope. - Contracts: Oversee contract documentation, tender processes, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ). - Teamwork: Collaborate closely with engineers and site teams to ensure smooth project progress. What We Are Looking For: - Experience: Previous experience working on projects in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Power industries. - Technical Knowledge: Understanding of piping, mechanical, or Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) work. - Environment: Experience working in live plants or during plant shutdowns. - Skills: Strong abilities in contract administration and cost control.
