Contrcat Period: Permanent/2-Year Contract   We are looking for a high calibre professional to join our Civil Design Section of Civil Branch in Transmission Department, major duties include:   * Assist in carrying out cost control and contract administration, preparing cost estimation and maintaining cost data bank, tendering and claims aspects * Support project management on cost and quantity measurement for substation buildings, civil structures, additions and alterations works and cable tunnel projects etc. to meet business need and internal requirements * Support and control project procurement and contracting activities, including tendering, contract formation and resources utilization * Support the assessment on contractor claims, final accounts, valuation and payment etc. * Liaise and co-ordinate with stakeholders including but not limited to external consultants, suppliers, contractors and internal user departments * Prepare feasibility study and budget of the projects in accordance with statutory, safety, environmental, technical, cost, quality & customer requirements, as well as meeting demanding project schedule  * Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned and when required   Requirements:   * A recognized university degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent  * At least 3 years’ relevant experience in local civil engineering and building industry * Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying is preferable * Civil and structural engineering knowledge in design and construction for building projects is a must  * Familiar with the statutory requirements of Buildings Ordinance and Building (Construction) Regulations * Good network with external parties including relevant government departments and consultants in civil and building works  * Being business-minded, performance-driven, customer and result-oriented * Mindful with strong safety awareness  * Ability to work independently and meet tight deadline * Good communication skills in both spoken and written Chinese and English   Candidate with less qualification and/or experience but demonstrates potential for further development will be considered for a position at lower grade.
