Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quantity Surveyor specializing in pre-contract work for infrastructure projects to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate cost estimations and efficient project planning for large-scale infrastructure developments. Responsibilities: Prepare detailed cost estimates for infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and utilities Develop and analyze bills of quantities for tender documentation Review and evaluate tender submissions from contractors Assist in the preparation of contract documents and procurement strategies Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize project costs Collaborate with design teams to ensure cost-effective solutions Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to achieve favorable terms Undertake quantity measurement for inclusion in cost plans, estimates, and bills of quantities. Prepare comprehensive tender documentation in line with project requirements. Conduct viability studies and develop detailed cost estimates. Implement, maintain, and monitor cost control procedures throughout the project lifecycle. Provide input and support in the preparation and assessment of financial claims. Evaluate variations, additions, and omissions, and incorporate findings into monthly cost reports. Prepare, process, and negotiate change orders with clients and contractors to ensure timely and accurate execution of projects. Conduct market testing and analyse tender returns to support rate benchmarking and update the cost database. Proficiency in cost estimation, tendering, and contract administration. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field Professional certification from a recognized quantity surveying body is advantageous (e.g., RICS) Minimum 3 years of experience in pre-contract quantity surveying, with a focus on infrastructure projects Proficiency in cost estimation software / Cost X Strong mathematical and analytical skills Excellent communication and negotiation skills In-depth knowledge of infrastructure project costing and budgeting Experience in preparing tender documents and contract administration Familiarity with construction contracts and procurement processes Knowledge of local construction regulations and standards in the UAE Ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Additional Information About AECOM AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
