JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of the cost and financial management of construction projects. This position requires a strong understanding of cost control, budgeting, and financial reporting, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is essential.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of cost control principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of projects and provide accurate financial forecasts.
  • Monitor project progress and costs, implementing effective cost control measures to ensure adherence to budgets.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure all project specifications are met.
  • Prepare tender documents and manage the tendering process, including evaluating bids and negotiating contracts.
  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects.
  • Provide regular reports on project costs and financial status to stakeholders.
  • Assist in resolving any disputes related to costs or contracts.
