QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Rebar Estimator or in a related estimating role in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of reinforcement standards, codes, and construction practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and estimating software (experience with CAD/RebarCAD is an asset).
  • Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for an experienced Rebar Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing construction drawings and specifications, preparing accurate quantity take-offs, and providing cost estimates for reinforcing steel (rebar) supply and installation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documents to determine project requirements.
  • Prepare detailed rebar quantity take-offs and estimates for supply, fabrication, and installation.
  • Coordinate with engineers, detailers, project managers, and clients to clarify project scope.
  • Assist in value engineering and provide input to optimize project costs.
  • Track and update estimates as project designs and requirements evolve.
