Our Commercial & Industrial division designs, fabricates and constructs structural steelwork for a variety of different sectors including commercial offices, stadia & leisure, industrial & distribution, data centres, retail and health and education.
The division has manufacturing sites in three locations: Dalton, Lostock, and Enniskillen. Each has full-service capabilities and modern manufacturing processes enabling us to provide a high-quality product to a variety of different sectors. Each of our sites has its own strong reputation in the market and between them cover a wider geographical area, including Europe. They continue to set the bar high in their highly complex market!
Vacancy Details
In the Quantity Surveyor position you will support and assist the Quantity Surveying department to ensure that the commercial and contractual aspects of projects are properly managed and controlled to an efficient manner to meet the demands of the business
You will be responsible for providing assistance, support & guidance on all commercial aspects throughout projects, including preparing & submitting interim valuations for projects monthly, to ensure positive cash flow throughout.
To be successful in this role you’ll need to have contractual knowledge and awareness, in particular NEC3/NEC4 options A and C and standard methods of measurement. You’ll be managing the financial aspect of subcontract packages of work including steel erection, cladding and metal decking, as well as managing the cost control, utilising cost and value reporting and cash flow forecasting.
You’ll need to have a minimum of 5 years experience & hold a BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar relevant qualification within a construction background.
