Role: Quantity Surveyor - Social Housing Maintenance
Location: London
Salary: £38,750 - £45,000 (Basic Salary)

Are you a Quantity Surveyor with experience of reactive repairs and voids contracts within the social housing sector?
Spencer & James are working with a leading Tier One Contractor to recruit a skilled Quantity Surveyor with a solid understanding of NHF SOR codes and experience working collaboratively to ensure the profitable delivery of social housing repairs and maintenance contracts.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re seeking a motivated professional with:

  • Experience: 3+ years in Quantity Surveying on reactive repairs and voids projects.
  • Knowledge: Proficient in NHF SOR codes and PPP/PPV contracts.
  • Qualifications: Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying or Construction (completed or in progress).
  • Mindset: Detail-oriented, commercially aware, and passionate about delivering results.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Project Delivery: Support project teams to meet key contractual obligations and regularly review performance.
  • Cost Control: Prepare and submit monthly Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) reports to track profitability and efficiency.
  • Tendering: Develop and apply tender strategies to help achieve targeted profit margins.
  • Valuations: Collaborate on external valuations and manage project cash flow.
  • Subcontractor Management: Oversee procurement, measurements, valuations, and contractual instructions.
  • Final Account: Work closely with the Commercial Manager to finalise accounts and ensure all financial processes are in order.
