Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team in London (located near London Bridge). This is a fantastic client facing opportunity to work across the full project lifecycle, from early-stage feasibility through to final account and post-construction delivery on a wide range of interesting projects across multiple sectors.
As part of our close knit, experienced team, you’ll work directly with clients and design teams, being an active partner on end-to-end construction projects through visiting sites regularly. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality projects on time and on budget, whilst nurturing existing client relationships and supporting the growth of new opportunities and sectors. The role offers exposure to all aspects of cost management, including tendering, procurement, and contract advice.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You’ll work as part of a collaborative team to deliver a full range of client-side cost consultancy services, including:
  • Lead clients and design teams through cost management, tendering, contract and procurement processes, attending regular meetings onsite and virtually.
  • Prepare and present order of cost estimates, detailed elemental cost plans, quantities and descriptions.
  • Prepare tender documentation including contract sum analysis, drafting JCT contracts, tender document framework etc.
  • Analyse tenders, prepare written reports and recommendations. Liaise and negotiate with contractors/specialists.
  • Create and manage execution of contract documents. Proactively manage project phase costs, assessing risks of cost variation or costs of delays.
  • Prepare interim valuations and final accounts.
  • Assist with supporting project managers and contract administrators on contractual matters, dispute avoidance etc.
  • Assist with Client liaison, funder liaison.
