In this role, you’ll see yourself responsible for assisting with managing the finances for our Surfacing departments and projects, working closely with our teams to ensure all works are completed within budget and delivered on time. In addition to the above you will: Undertake cost planning and reviews to ensure projects stays within budget. Prepare take-offs and undertake estimating/quoting of works from first principles. Put together monthly claims for submission to clients. Prepare and present accurate monthly financial reporting. Work with department managers in the preparation of variation orders, monthly cost reports, costs to complete, and in the preparation of any contractual claims. Assist with adhoc analysis on business issues, potential cost savings and tender opportunities. Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with the specifications. We’re looking for someone with: A Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying. Previous experience in roading construction and surfacing industries is preferred. Excellent knowledge of relevant legislation and standards. High sufficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. High attention to detail to ensure accurate reporting. Strong organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment. Sound commercial awareness of the local construction and surfacing industries.
