QUANTITY SURVEYOR

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven individual to manage all financial and contractual aspects of our projects, with a strong focus preferably on road maintenance particularly involving bituminous, asphalt surfacing and civil works.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in pricing, procurement, tendering, and managing subcontractors within a framework environment, along with a solid understanding of EHSQ compliance standards.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in a commercial, estimating, or quantity surveying role within the road maintenance or civil engineering sector
  • Strong understanding of bituminous / surfacing works, materials, and methods
  • Demonstrated knowledge of EHSQ standards and compliance procedures in infrastructure or construction environments
  • Experience working within framework contracts and public sector procurement (preferred)
  • Excellent commercial acumen with strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Competent in Microsoft Office
  • Can do attitude with excellent time management and communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Manage all contractual and financial elements of road maintenance projects to ensure delivery on budget, on time, and to specified standards
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, and tender documentation
  • Oversee procurement activities in line with framework and compliance requirements
  • Lead tendering and quoting processes from pre-qualification through to submission, ensuring profitability
  • Monitor and control project costs, preparing regular cost and progress reports for senior management
  • Collaborate with internal departments, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
  • Identify and assess commercial risks throughout the lifecycle of the project
  • Ensure full compliance with EHSQ regulations, framework agreements, and legal obligations
  • Conduct pre-submission quality and compliance checks to meet client and industry standards
  • Provide invoicing teams with complete and accurate data to support timely billing
  • Seek and evaluate new tendering opportunities to drive business growth
  • Carry out market analysis and post-tender feedback reviews to improve competitiveness and pricing strategy
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency.
