Job Description We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of complex gas projects, ensuring accurate cost control, maximising value, and safeguarding the company’s commercial interests. You’ll work closely with project delivery teams, clients, and subcontractors to deliver successful outcomes while driving efficiency and profitability. Key Responsibilities: Manage all financial and contractual administration of projects, ensuring maximum entitlement and profitability. Support tender preparation, cost analysis, and pre-contract activities. Oversee project delivery, ensuring bid strategies and profit plans are understood and achieved. Prepare and negotiate subcontract packages, orders, interim valuations, and final accounts. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of valuations, forecasts, and cash flow. Monitor costs, margins, and risks, raising early warnings where necessary. Provide contractual advice and support dispute resolution when required. Lead on procurement strategies in collaboration with operations and procurement teams. Support junior surveyors, conducting performance reviews where appropriate. Qualifications BSc in Quantity Surveying or a related field. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in quantity surveying. Professional membership preferable (e.g. RICS). Established background in commercial roles, preferably in gas pipelines or heavy civils. NEC3 / 4 experience Strong commercial and financial acumen. Excellent negotiation, communication, and data analysis skills. Valid driving licence.
