Description

Anyon Systems is a quantum computing company located in the Greater Montreal Region and with presence in Waterloo, Ontario. We work at the cutting edge of technology to develop and commercialise superconducting quantum computers. The company is rapidly growing and has both hardware and software groups to achieve its R&D goals.
You will be working within our Quantum Hardware Team, a team of engineers and scientists dedicated to the design, fabrication, and testing of novel superconducting quantum processors. You will collaborate closely with other teams when required. In this role, you will draw on your strong expertise as well as as your critical thinking and obsession for documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field with a strong focus on quantum information or quantum devices.
  • 1–3 years of postdoctoral research experience in quantum hardware, superconducting circuits, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Python and/or C++ for simulation or instrumentation.
  • Experience with microwave engineering and/or superconducting circuits and/or quantum optics.
  • Experience with design validation using FEM or similar tools.
  • Exposure to nanofabrication and superconducting qubits is highly desirable.

  • Effective communicator, capable of contributing to cross-disciplinary projects.
Responsibilities
  • Independently design and simulate novel superconducting quantum circuits.
  • Develop and validate circuit layouts using the Anyon Systems design toolkit.
  • Develop experimental protocols and perform experimental work on superconducting quantum devices.
  • Collaborate closely with the nanofabrication team to guide implementation and process optimization.
  • Communicate technical results clearly in reports, presentations, and cross-functional meetings.
