Summary:
SAP is launching a bold, long-term initiative to explore the transformative potential of Quantum Technologies in enterprise software. Anchored within the Office of the CTO and led by a dedicated Head of Quantum, within SCM Optimization & Data Science we are building a world-class team of experts across physics, algorithms, engineering, and enterprise domains. This effort aims to develop quantum-enabled applications, foster collaboration across business units, and grow an ecosystem of partners, start-ups, and research institutions.
The Quantum Optimization Service Infrastructure Architect will play a pivotal role in merging Quantum Hardware and Software Stack with classical Cloud-Architectures. Responsible for the Cloud-Services in relation to Quantum Hardware, this role will integrate the SAP Stack with the external Quantum Stack – in close collaboration with Quantum Hardware Providers, both internationally and locally in Munich in the Munich Quantum Valley and the LRZ.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the architectural integration of Quantum Hardware and Software Stack with classical Cloud-Architectures to create seamless and efficient systems.
  • Oversee the management and optimization of Cloud Services related to Quantum Hardware, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Integrate the SAP Stack with the external Quantum Stack, ensuring compatibility and performance optimization across different environments.
  • Define, ensure, and orchestrate non-functional cloud qualities such as scalability, security, and performance for various Quantum Hard- and Software Stacks.
  • Collaborate with Quantum Hardware Providers, both internationally and locally, including those in the Munich Quantum Valley and the LRZ, to stay abreast of the latest technological advancements.
  • Manage and execute strategic projects that align with SAP’s Quantum initiative, using advanced project management skills to ensure timely and successful completion.
  • Work closely with various teams, including SCM and the CTO area, to drive the successful integration and deployment of Quantum Technologies.
