This position is open to both early-career professionals and more experienced candidates with a background in developing quantum sensing systems. We are looking for candidates with the following background and skills:
Experience in the following areas will be considered a strong advantage:
In addition to technical expertise, we are looking for someone who is:
Do you have experience in quantum sensing and are eager to work at the intersection of science and engineering? TNO is expanding its activities in this field and is looking to grow its team of researchers.
You will join the Quantum Technology department at TNO, contributing to projects carried out both directly for clients and in close collaboration with partners across the Dutch and European quantum ecosystems.
At TNO, we apply cutting-edge scientific knowledge to develop novel technological solutions and applications. Our work involves designing and building systems that harness quantum properties, bridging the gap between fundamental research and real-world applications through testbeds, demonstrators, and product development.
In this role, you will work closely with our Quantum Sensing Testbed Facility, as part of a diverse and multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and designers. Your primary focus will be on developing proof-of-concept demonstrations for industrial solutions using NV center based quantum sensors. This includes contributing to the development of operational concepts, designing experimental setups, and demonstrating the underlying sensing principles in action.
