Job Requirements * Plan and direct the nightly operations for the Lucerne Valley maintenance crew. * 3-5 years of management experience * In partnership with Safety and Environmental staff, continue to develop, promote, and maintain high levels of performance throughout the operation to ensure compliance. * Direct production efforts in the most cost-efficient manner and maximize the utilization of equipment. * Proactively troubleshoot and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and maximum availability. * Hands on repair of plant equipment, knowledge of safety requirements required operating a rock and sand mining operation. * Good communication skills working with others, organizing other mine and quarry personnel to perform tasks. Take lead of existing maintenance repair crew to complete required daily duties. * Good written skills while performing needed plant reports, ordering materials, and repair logs. * Must be able to use hand tools required for all plant maintenance, repair, and new installations. * Identify opportunities, develop strategies, and execute the plan for operational improvement. * Experience and knowledge of modern maintenance technology and methods. * Sound knowledge of Part 46 MSHA safety training/OSHA regulations, environmental regulations as they apply within mining and processing operations. * This is a night shift position, working hours will be approximately between 4:00pm-12:30am subject to change. Working Conditions * Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors * Must wear protective equipment while at the location * Capable to work extended hours as needed Physical Requirements * Requires stationary position, traverse, move, transport, and the ability to significant degree to operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect, or position. * Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently * Job involves standing and walking most of the time, but also involves sitting for brief periods of time. * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen, to communicate with employees/visitors.
