Adbri Quarries, a leader in the construction materials industry, is seeking a skilled and driven Quarry Manager to lead operations at our Sellicks site.
This is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing all day-to-day quarry operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective production while maintaining compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Quarry Manager will lead a team of operational and maintenance personnel to deliver production targets, manage resources, and continuously improve site performance. This includes the planning and coordination of drilling and blasting activities, pit development, equipment maintenance, and team performance.
You’ll play a hands-on role in managing budgets, controlling costs, ensuring plant and equipment availability, and fostering a safety-first culture across the site.
The role also includes stakeholder engagement, including responding to community concerns and regulatory requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee daily operations and long-term planning of the Sellicks quarry site
  • Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team including supervisors, operators, and maintenance crews
  • Ensure compliance with all WHS and environmental legislation, Adbri and CRH policies, and industry best practices
  • Develop and deliver production plans, monitor outputs, and manage resources efficiently
  • Drive a high-performance culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Monitor and report on operational KPIs including production cost, plant availability, downtime, and team performance
  • Liaise with local authorities, manage permits and licenses, and maintain positive community relations
