Who are we looking for? Stevenson are looking for a dedicated and highly motivated Quarry Manager to lead the development of Clevedon Quarry. Located in East of Auckland, this is an opportunity to grow as we develop the quarry and build a team. About the job In this role you will be responsible for onsite productivity, safety, environmental and financial management as you execute the development plan of our Clevedon Quarry. You will also be assisted by an experienced site supervisor and have the support of the wider Aggregate team. As Quarry Manager, you must have a sound understanding and working knowledge of quarrying, as well as prior experience in a site supervisory or manager role in a quarrying environment. Strong people supervision skills are a must, along with the ability to communicate effectively with people of all levels. You will have sound planning and organisational skills, as well as the ability to identify and effectively respond to problems, possessing a positive, flexible and hands on approach to all operations. Above all, you must have a passion for the quarrying industry and take absolute pride in your work, prioritising the health and safety of your team. Experience and attributes; A Grade Quarry Manager Qualification and significant relevant experience. Preferable BE or NZCE (or equivalent experience). Must have a full class 2 driver’s licence Relevant license/qualifications for various industry specific heavy equipment First Aid Certificate Leadership and management experience Operational management experience i.e. planning, resolution allocation and coordination Financial management experience i.e. budgeting, cost-benefit analysis and reconciliation reporting Ability to manage technically complex and challenging projects and contracts Computer literacy, keyboard and file management skills Presentation, report writing and review skills Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise to meet numerous and demanding deadlines What we offer We offer a range of fantastic REAL benefits to our employees.
