Mō te tūranga | About the role As a Quarry Operator, you’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of quarry plant and equipment, ensuring our products meet agreed standards and customer expectations. You’ll play a key role in maintaining production, quality, and site housekeeping, while living our strong health, safety and environmental culture every day. Ngā kawenga matua | Key responsibilities Operate quarry plant and equipment safely at all times, completing required prestart checks and complying with all health, safety, quality and environmental procedures Work professionally and courteously with the public, clients, suppliers and team members to maintain and promote the Fulton Hogan brand, providing job status updates where required Deliver operational and plant duties to required standards by meeting product specifications, maintaining quality control (including ISO 9001 requirements), and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction Manage resources and records effectively by planning work to meet deadlines, monitoring and minimising wastage, maintaining accurate plant, testing and job documentation, and supporting plant maintenance and site security Perform quarry production activities including extracting and stockpiling material, front-line loading and truck loading, operating and assisting with the maintenance of crushing and screening plants, maintaining exceptional housekeeping, attending training, holding required licences, and reporting issues promptly to the Supervisor, plus other duties as required Kei te kimi mātou i tētahi e whai ana i ēnei pūkenga | We’re looking for someone with Current Class 1 and Class 2 driver licences (light/heavy vehicles) – essential Class 4 licence – highly desirable W, T, R (Wheels, Tracks and Rollers) endorsements – preferable At least 2 years’ experience in a similar quarry, civil, or heavy plant environment Strong, positive attitude and a willingness to help others and go the extra mile He pai te mahi, he pai ngā painga | Good work, good benefits At Fulton Hogan, we genuinely care about the wellbeing of our people and giving them the tools and opportunities they need to succeed and grow with us.
