Heidelberg Materials has a rewarding full-time opportunity for Quarry Operator to join the team at Kulnura Quarry, located about 30 minutes north-east of Gosford on the NSW Central Coast. We are seeking applicants who have a passion for safety and value strong work ethic, as well as be willing and able to work a varied role in along with general maintenance duties. Reporting to the Quarry Manager, this is a full-time position joining the day-shift team. While experience operating machinery such as Loaders, Dump Trucks and Excavators or other fixed plant is beneficial, it is not essential to be successful for the role. A “can do” attitude and a willingness to learn the ropes is a great start and we can provide you with the training and support to learn the rest! In your new role, your duties will include: Plant Operations: Operate machinery such as Excavators, Dump Trucks, Front End Loader & other Fixed plant equipment. Machine Maintenance: Conduct daily maintenance checks, including oil levels and greasing. Clean & Tidy Equipment: Ensure the machine is kept clean and well-organised at all times. Assist with other site duties as needed such as fixed plant maintenance. To be successful in this role you will have: A Strong commitment to health, safety, environment and quality standards A current valid Open or Provisional Australian Drivers Licence (Essential) Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team. The ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision. Strict adherence to fixed and mobile plant pre-start & maintenance procedures Great communication skills including the ability to understand and follow clear instructions. Professional work ethic with a "can do" attitude. Medical Check: Able to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test (random testing is also conducted on all Heidelberg sites). Safety: Some of our machines have operator weight limits on their seats and seatbelts. For safety reasons, you may need to be under a specified weight.
