Job Purpose
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quarry Manager to oversee the daily operations of our quarry site. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of quarry operations and the ability to lead a team effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

• Practical understanding of industrial mineral industry
• Previous experience in quarry management or a similar role within the mining industry. Good knowledge of local Quarry regulations and permit policies.
• Strong communicator and team leader
• Good problem solving abilities
• IT literate and good understanding of financial principles
• Valid full driving licence

• Manage and support the Operations activities in the Quarry according to the Operational Excellence principles in a safe way.
• Manage Quarry activities to develop safe working behaviour.
• Drive continuous improvement activities. Monitor and review subcontractor activities.
• Control waste management.
• Ensure a safe working environment is provided by following Sibelco safety regulations and ensuring a zero tolerance approach is taken with regards Operational Safety.
• Drive action to deliver competitive cost position, reduce costs, increase yield, better value products and improve processes
• Deliver KPI’s as required
• Execute operational activities within the budgeted OPEX and CAPEX prescriptions
• Achieve yearly COS budget
• Manage, e valuate and develop team members fostering a productive and efficient team atmosphere.
