Description A Quick Lube Technician is responsible for performing routine vehicle maintenance services in a fast-paced automotive shop environment. This role focuses on oil changes, fluid checks, inspections, and basic automotive services while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a clean, safe workspace. Requirements Key Responsibilities Routine Maintenance Perform oil and filter changes on a wide variety of vehicles Inspect and top off all vital fluids (coolant, transmission, brake, windshield, power steering, etc.) Rotate and inspect tires as needed Replace air filters, cabin filters, wiper blades, and light bulbs Perform chassis lubrication services Check and replace batteries when required Vehicle Inspection Conduct multi-point inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns Inspect belts, hoses, tires, and brakes Communicate findings clearly to service advisors or customers Shop Duties Keep bays clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards Properly dispose of used oil, filters, and other materials Maintain equipment and report any repair needs Customer Service Greet and assist customers professionally Explain recommended services clearly and honestly Ensure vehicles are cared for respectfully and returned in a clean condition Qualifications & Skills Required Basic automotive knowledge Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Strong attention to detail Willingness to learn and follow procedures Valid driver’s license with clean driving record Preferred Previous experience in automotive or quick-lube service Familiarity with vehicle maintenance tools and equipment Work Environment Fast-paced shop environment Indoor/outdoor conditions depending on shop setup Requires bending, lifting, and working under vehicles Typical Work Schedule Full-time or part-time Weekends or evenings depending on shop hours
