Description SUMMARY Lubricates the moving parts of vehicles. Hours: 2pm- 6pm Monday - Friday (Flexible start time), Saturday 8am - 1pm Perfect for students looking for afterschool work! ESSENTIAL DUTIES Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Trains with an experienced technician for 30 to 60 days. Experienced technician verifies all work completed. Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards. Sells lubrication, safety inspection, and other related services. Maintains records on customers Drains oil from crankcase and refills with required amount of oil. Replaces oil and air filters. Inspects vehicle fluid levels, replaces or replenishes as necessary. Checks tire pressure and adds air if needed. Lubricates moving parts with specified lubricants. Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts. Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor. Documents all work performed on the repair order. Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins. Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean. Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle. Completes lubrication service according to dealership and manufacturer quality and time standards. Maintains and ensures quality service for every customer’s experience. Keeps shop area neat and clean. Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as when they were received. Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc. Uses proper eye, hand, and body protection when using products that require protection. Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner. Reports any safety issues immediately to management. Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as assigned by service manager. Keeps current on all training requirements; such as GM training, Compliance training and other training as assigned by manager. Sets a good example by maintaining a healthy work demeanor and cooperating with other managers and fellow employees in a positive spirit of teamwork. Represents Puklich Chevrolet positively when out in the community. MARGINAL DUTIES Other duties may be assigned. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Completes GM Fundamentals for Tech Apprentice within the first six months of employment Valid Driver’s License Good Driving Record
