JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quoting Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will analyze customer RFQs (Request for Quotes), prepare competitive quotes, and ensure accurate costing for CNC-machined parts. Your expertise will be crucial in driving our business growth and maintaining customer satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in quoting or estimating within a CNC machine shop or a related manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Familiarity with CNC machining processes, materials, tooling, and manufacturing workflows.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills for accurate costing.
• Proficiency in quoting software and/or ERP systems.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree or certification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Experience with CAD software for reviewing 3D models.
• Knowledge of material standards and heat treatment processes.

• Review and interpret technical drawings, 3D models, and specifications provided by customers.
• Analyze material requirements, machining processes, labor, and other cost factors to prepare detailed quotes.
• Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy of quotes.
• Research and negotiate pricing for materials, subcontracted processes, and tooling as needed.
• Maintain a database of historical quotes, material costs, and vendor pricing for reference.
• Communicate effectively with customers to clarify requirements and provide updates.
• Stay updated on industry trends, machining techniques, and cost optimization strategies.
