Description Position Summary The R&D Engineer is responsible for the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of hydronic flow control products. This role plays a critical part in bringing new products to market and enhancing existing product lines to meet customer needs, performance standards, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is technically strong, hands-on, and motivated to solve real-world engineering challenges. Key Responsibilities Lead new product development projects from concept through launch Design and model components and assemblies using 3D CAD software Develop prototypes and oversee product testing and validation Perform engineering calculations including fluid dynamics, thermal performance, and structural analysis Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Applications Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain Support cost reduction and value engineering initiatives Prepare and maintain engineering documentation including drawings, specifications, test reports, and design records Ensure compliance with industry standards and certifications Support continuous improvement efforts within manufacturing processes Provide technical support as needed for internal teams and customers Requirements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field 3–7 years of engineering experience in product design or manufacturing Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) Understanding of fluid systems, pressure vessels, or hydronic systems preferred Experience with product testing and validation methods Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines Excellent communication and collaboration skills Preferred Experience Experience in HVAC, plumbing, or hydronic flow control products Familiarity with stainless steel fabrication and manufacturing processes Knowledge of ASME, NSF, UL, or other applicable industry standards
