R&D Engineer

SUMMARY

The R&D Engineer contributes to the development of software products and supporting systems. In this role, the R&D Engineer will collaborate with a team of expert professionals to understand customer requirements and accomplish development objectives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Experience with software development and testing

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Cross-platform development experience on Linux and/or Windows
• Experience with C++, CMake, and GCC
• Basic understanding of multi-threaded development and distributed computing
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to learn quickly and to collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team

• Performs moderately complex development activities, including the design, implementation, maintenance, testing and documentation of software modules and sub-systems
• Performs moderately complex bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products.
• Researches problems discovered by QA or product support and develops solutions
• Learns and employs best practices
• Work in a variety of computing environments: Linux, Windows, VMs, Cloud
• Works under the close supervision of a development manager
