Job Title R&D Engineer I Provides engineering support to material, product, and process development programs. Roles & Responsibilities: Under direct supervision, assists in conducting engineering experiments on new materials, products, processes and/or procedures. Participates in projects to optimize and improve existing materials, products, processes and/or procedures. Assists with project plan development, execution and reporting activities to support CoorsTek project management activities. Assists with documenting work instructions and procedures. Operates process and test equipment per existing procedures. Exercises hands-on responsibility for assigned processing and/or analytical equipment. Works collaboratively under the guidance of more senior engineers with the Operations and Commercial sectors of the company. Participates in the company’s safety culture and continuous improvement efforts. Undertakes training to develop skills. Job Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, or related Physical Science or Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience. Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Sound basic knowledge of mathematics, statistics and engineering science. Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Organized, detail-oriented person necessary. Team player. Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds. Metallization of Ceramics Ceramic processing and characterization Microscopy Clean room experience Position Specific Physical Requirements: Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment in designated areas. Must be able to lift 50lb. Target Hiring Range Annual Salary: USD 82,143.00 - USD 108,429.00 Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
