As a Hardware Design Engineer, you will support the design, development, qualification, and life cycle sustaining of PCBA and system level hardware used in high performance Ethernet and Network communication test equipment.
Responsibilities

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • BSEE, CSE, or equivalent and at least 4 year of engineering experience or MSEE with 2 years of design experience.
  • Strong technical writing capability and solid communication skills.
  • Knowledge of network sever architecture and a good understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Strong experience using electronic test equipment such as DMMs, DSOs, Logic, Spectrum and Network Analyzers.
  • Strong experience and ability to troubleshoot electronic hardware issues to the component level.
  • Strong experience in reading and understanding electrical schematics, technical drawings, datasheets, and written work instructions.
  • Experiance in the design of elctronic circuitry to support communications systems, including but not limited to uCUs, FPGAs, power supplies, clock synthesizers, communications transceivers, etc.
  • Experience using Cadence Allegro and Orcad CAD design suite, for schematic capture and PCB layout.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a knowledge of how to handle and assemble electronic hardware useing comon hand tools.
  • Experiance in SW programming and/or scripting for hardware applications.

Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering expertise to design, validate, test, and release complex PCBAs and higher level assemblies.
  • Support prototyping, bring up, and the integration of hardware assemblies.
  • Perform clear documentation of hardware design specifications, design validation documents, and failure analysis reports.
  • Draft and drive Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) against prototype and production hardware.
  • Provide research and guidance to support electrical component selection, component EOLs, and component replacement issues.
