THE ROLE

As an R&D Engineer in Mechanical Engineering at Kempower, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the ever-evolving EV market. On a typical day, you’ll develop innovative mechanical designs together with other stakeholders making a direct impact on our mission to revolutionize transportation.

In this role, you will

• Create and develop new innovative mechanical designs for EV charging solutions.
• Create prototypes of products for iterative design evaluation.
• Plan and conduct testing and validation for created products & designs.
• Actively monitor development of material and manufacturing technologies.

At Kempower, we work in a hybrid model. Your office can be located in Tampere, Helsinki or Lahti. In this position, occasional visits to our factories and laboratories in Lahti are required.

WHAT HELPS YOU SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree on relevant field of engineering
• Knowledge and understanding of general mechanical engineering principles and tools
• Interest in EV charging

• Mass production designs, sheet metal designs, plastic designs, outdoor designs, SolidWorks or Teamcenter

As our official company language is English, proficiency in spoken and written English is required. We also appreciate spoken and written Finnish.
