As R&D Engineering Manager, you will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for the repair, refurbishment, testing, and lifecycle management of ATM, POS, server, and related technologies. You will ensure high-quality engineering performance, efficient operations, and continuous improvement across all activities. In addition, you will oversees R&D initiatives that turn technical ideas into practical, market-ready solutions, aligning innovation with business priorities, budgets, and timelines. You will act as the main technical point of contact for customers and support the evaluation of new technologies and new business opportunities. Your Responsibilities: • Leading, recruiting, developing, and mentoring a multidisciplinary engineering team supporting repair operations for ATM, POS, server, and related technologies, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and technical excellence. • Overseeing daily engineering support for repair flows, including diagnostics, component-level repair, firmware/software updates, and ongoing process optimization. • Defining team objectives, performance metrics, and development plans, ensuring alignment with operational and business priorities. • Evaluating, validating, documenting, and implementing engineering changes, including ECOs, component substitutions, software updates, and design improvements. • Maintaining high standards of product quality, repair accuracy, reliability, safety, regulatory compliance, and turnaround time across all product families. • Acting as the primary engineering interface for customers, participating in quality, performance, and operational review meetings. • Presenting technical analyses, KPIs, root-cause investigations, and improvement plans in a clear, professional, and data-driven manner. • Leading technical escalations related to product failures or recurring defects, coordinating timely and effective resolution with internal and external stakeholders. • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across repair processes, testing methodologies, diagnostic capabilities, lean practices, and automation opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce cost. • Collaborating closely with customer engineering teams on specifications, change requests, and product updates, ensuring technical alignment. • Supporting the evaluation and onboarding of new technologies and product categories, including technical assessments, capability studies, and pilot projects. • Providing engineering input for proposals, quotations, and customer presentations, and ensuring technical readiness for new product introductions through appropriate tooling, training, and process design. Your Profile: • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field. • Proven leadership experience managing engineering or technical teams in repair, manufacturing, or hardware-focused environments. • Minimum 5 years of experience in electronics repair operations, hardware engineering, or the repair industry. • Strong technical knowledge of electromechanical systems, diagnostics, component-level repair, and secure device handling. • Hands-on experience with ATM, POS, server hardware, payment terminals, and PCI-regulated devices, including PCI DSS / PCI PTS compliance. • Additional technical exposure to imaging and printing products (ideally Xerox), set-top box (STB) repair, firmware flashing, connectivity testing, tuner diagnostics, and consumables management. • Solid understanding of repair center operations, testing automation, quality systems, and quality management practices. • Experience with new product introduction (NPI), onboarding new technologies, and supporting technical readiness for new product categories. • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including root-cause analysis, critical thinking, and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar). • Business and operational acumen, with the ability to translate operational requirements into meaningful KPIs, dashboards, and performance insights. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence engaging customers, auditors, and stakeholders at all levels across global and cross-functional teams. • Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, results-driven, and adaptable, with strong confidentiality awareness, proficiency in Microsoft Office, willingness to travel as required, and fluency in both English and Polish.
