Job Title: R&D Intern Location: Houston, TX Position Type: Internship About Solidec Solidec is chemical manufacturing, simplified. Using air, water, and electricity our autonomous generators produce the world’s most essential chemicals, on site and on demand. Our mission is to pioneer on-site chemical manufacturing technologies and processes that are economically and environmentally sustainable. Our flagship hydrogen peroxide generators provide significant cost control while reducing the carbon footprint of critical industries, from water and wastewater treatment, to semiconductor manufacturing, food and beverage, and mining. Position Overview We are looking for an R&D Intern to join our team in Summer 2026. As an Intern, you will be a key contributor to the development and optimization of our next-generation electrochemical reactors. You will work closely with our technical team to streamline our electrolyzer fabrication and assembly processes. In this role, you will gain in-depth knowledge of electrolyzer architecture, develop practical skills in materials pretreatment and chemical handling, and learn the principles of R&D workflow design. What You’ll Be Doing Developing and refining standardized protocols for the pretreatment and preparation of electrolyzer components. Assisting in electrolyzer assembly and gaining experience in electrochemical experimentation and data collection. Analyzing data and presenting results to our technical team Helping to develop new technology to produce sustainable chemicals What We’re Looking For Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field of study Previous laboratory experience outside of coursework (preferably working with electrochemistry) Willingness and desire to learn new things Ability to learn/work efficiently Strong communication skills (written and oral) Prioritization of safety in the laboratory Ability to move 25 pounds Characteristics We’re Looking For Individuals with enthusiasm and conviction for creating global impact Innovators to develop transformative solutions Collaborators who excel in working with others Problem-solvers with a can-do mindset People with authentic character who value others Why Solidec?
