Overview We’re hiring elite R&D Machinists like you to help us build hardware that will define the next era of aviation. This is a Silicon Valley funded advanced manufacturing company focused on aerospace and defense. The team is growing quickly, bringing together specialized manufacturing capabilities to support some of the most demanding programs in the industry. You won’t be buried in production. You’ll be in a high-mix, low-volume environment, taking parts from concept to completion, working directly with engineers to solve real manufacturing challenges. We move fast. We speak directly. Compensation $50 - $85 / hr (standard ranges, but negotiable) We pay what it takes for top talent. If you're out of this range but worth it, let's talk Shift 1st shift: 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday - Friday What You'll Do Set up and run CNC mills, lathes, EDM, and manual equipment Program and optimize parts using CAM software; edit G-code at the control Take parts from print/model to finished component with minimal oversight Machine tight-tolerance components across a range of materials, including aerospace alloys Work in a high-mix, low-volume environment with constant variation Perform in-process and final inspection using standard metrology tools Design and build fixtures, tooling, and workholding solutions Partner directly with engineering to improve part design and manufacturability Identify problems early and drive solutions—not just flag issues Support broader shop needs and step in where needed Qualifications 5+ years of experience in precision machining Background in aerospace, defense, or high-spec machining Multi-axis machining (4/5-axis), EDM, or complex setups CAM programming experience with the ability to adjust at the machine Experience machining difficult materials (Inconel, titanium, etc.) Ability to read prints, GD&T, and work to tight tolerances Background in R&D, prototyping, or high-mix environments Familiarity with Fanuc, Siemens, or similar controls Fixture design / custom workholding experience Must be a U.S. Person (ITAR requirement) Culture Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment High ownership mindset—you take initiative and solve problems Medical, dental, vision 401(k) + match PTO + holidays
