Description The La La Land Research and Development (R&D) Manager will lead and oversee the development of new food products and improvements to existing products. This role requires conducting research and product testing to ensure alignment with the company’s strategic product goals. All testing must meet compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Duties and Responsibilities: The R&D Manager define and establish research objectives to guide product development from conception to presentation. Analyze statistical data to provide actionable insights for business decisions and new product strategies. Work effectively to ensure product development is scalable. Apply knowledge of HACCP, SSOP, AND GMP standards to maintain high safety and quality standards throughout product development. Use problem-solving skills to identify opportunities for enhancing process efficiency and product quality. Experience working with raw materials and food products. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Proven skills in Team Leadership, fostering a collaborative work environment. Effective problem-solving, analytical thinking, and organizational skills. Effective project management skills, including planning, executing, and delivering projects on time and within budget. Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Requirements Bachelor's degree required. MBA is preferred. 5 or more years of relevant experience required. Broad understanding of food safety and quality is required. Strong analytical and data interpretation skills. Proficient in MS Office Suite and related analytical tools is required. Experience in the food or restaurant industry is preferred. Prior hospitality or retail industry experience a plus but not required. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing or sitting may be required. Ability to travel up to 50% of the time is required.
