ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for a skilled R&D Product Design Engineer who excels in 3D modeling and CAD design. In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed drawings, preparing product specifications, assembling prototypes, and producing realistic renders for marketing purposes. You’ll play a key role in bringing innovative product ideas to life. This role is full time based in our Malaga (Western Australia) office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create precise 2D and 3D drawings for new core shed designs, ensuring accuracy and feasibility for VR customization.
Develop comprehensive product drawings for both New Product Development (NPD) and Existing Product Development (EPD), including detailed exploded views for Product Specification Sheets (PSS).
Generate Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for PSS and Roller Racking designs, optimizing material usage and cost-effectiveness.
Utilize Sketchup and Fusion 360 to produce 3D solid drawings, facilitating the transition from concept to prototype through 3D printing technologies.
Coordinate the assembly of prototypes for thorough bench testing and design validation reviews.
Create visually engaging product presentations and photo-realistic renders to support marketing strategies and showcase product features.
Provide descriptive views and annotations for clear and user-friendly instruction manuals, ensuring proper assembly and usage guidelines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate design updates and improvements into existing product models.
