JOB SUMMARY

Aiding in sanitisation and translation of data from R&D to production. Leading the information exchange for New Product Introductions. Managing and reviewing the R&D and manufacturing data that enters and is output from the ERP system (Epicor). Work with all departments to ensure 100% accuracy of data. Ensure the data maximises the efficiency of internal and external business activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

HND or Degree qualified – Data, IT, Manufacturing, R&D, or Materials discipline

EXPERIENCE

3-5 years’ experience in Manufacturing data, within a modern ERP application
Experience in cradle to grave product development cycles
Experience in material purchasing
Must be fully proficient in Microsoft Excel
Experience in data analytics tools e.g. Power BI.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities

  • Facilitate an easy exchange of correct and relevant product information between R&D and manufacturing.
  • Aid in the creation and maintenance of R&D documentation to clearly communicate product information for new and existing product ranges
  • Data Owner, responsible for R&D:
  • Part, Inventory & Planning data
  • Bills of Material & Documentation of Operations
  • Engineering Change extending to
  • Management of BOM changes
  • R&D and Manufacturing Engineer on New Products
  • Inventory Accuracy
  • Using Epicor processes and monitoring to ensure accuracy
  • Cost and supplier management
  • Reivew part and supplier costs (average & standard) on a regular basis, to ensure R&D direction is aligned with business requirements
  • Liaise with purchasing department to ensure smooth transition of alternative designs and parts for known part obsolescence
  • Be the go-to on site person to investigate manufacturing data anomalies.
