The R&D Project Engineer will work within a team of people from operational and engineering disciplines, dealing with all aspects of project work from concept through to delivery.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Our R&D Project Engineer will require the following knowledge and/or experience:

  • Good working knowledge of the oil industry.
  • Minimum of two years in a project role
  • Has run offshore tools or at the very least a very good awareness of the processes involved.
  • Good delegation skills.
  • Proficiency with standard computer applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

The R&D Project Engineer will be required to:

  • Design, develop and project manage specific electro-mechanical and oilfield tool systems.
  • Capture requirements, write specifications and work with all the technical disciplines to develop project timelines and deliver and report on these.
  • Collate R&D Projects costs and report on these.
  • Occasional periods of work may also be required at onshore and offshore locations worldwide.
  • The role holder will maintain a high standard of personal safety in the workplace, perform duties in line with Metrol QHSE policy, attend training courses as requested by management, advance the interests of Metrol where possible, and undertake other duties as may reasonably be required by management.
