JOB DESCRIPTION

The main responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in the planning of development studies and subsequently organise and undertake work relating to specific development projects.
  • Design experiments, develop assays, identify suitable biological materials and take responsibility to deliver against timelines.
  • Analyse and interpret complex data produced in studies and write progress reports including conclusions and proposed actions.
  • Assist the Department in general organisation and administration of laboratory facilities. Documentation and audits to ensure departmental compliance with health and safety, GMP/GLP standards.
  • Participate in project teams for interdisciplinary/interdepartmental/collaborative projects to ensure projects progress efficiently and effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & BEHAVIOURS REQUIRED

  • Science Degree is essential.
  • At least one year’s industry experience in a GXP environment.
  • Experience of working in a dynamic and fast paced environment is essential.
  • Allergy development / Immunoassay / ELISA experience / clinical diagnostics experience (desired).
  • Experience and ability in interpreting, presenting and handling complex data.
  • Flexible approach to work required with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with strong teamwork, collaboration and communication skills.
  • A “can-do” attitude, with an enthusiasm and passion to work in Life Sciences.
