Within our MDVCIPD (Medication Delivery Vascular Care and Infusion Preparation Disposables) business, the V&V (Verification & Validation) team is seeking an R&D Senior Engineer specializing in TMD (Test Method Development) and Design Verification to join us!
In this exciting role, you will impact health care by driving commercialization of new products and design changes for current products through all phases. You will contribute to the planning, design, building, and qualification of measurement systems and methods vital to the evaluation of product safety, efficacy, performance, and compliance while ensuring accurate completion of project and business goals. You will contribute to the strategy and drive the execution of product design verification and validation activities to demonstrate product safety, efficacy, performance, and compliance.

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join our R&D team. This role focuses on design verification throughout the product development lifecycle, requiring strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and experience in medical device development.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering with 4+ years of experience in medical device or other regulated industry, OR an Advanced Degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering
  • Demonstrated track record of technical problem solving and effective product development
  • Design controls expertise
  • Proficiency in statistical methods and tools
  • Strong understanding of solid mechanics and mechanics of materials
  • Knowledge of traditional and modern fabrication techniques

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate degree (MS or PhD) in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or similar field
  • 6+ years of post-educational experience in Medical Device industry
  • DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) training or certifications

  • Lead design verification activities throughout all project phases, including planning, execution, and analysis
  • Develop and own verification documentation including plans, protocols, rationales, test methods, and reports
  • Perform test method development and validation
  • Conduct data analysis and prepare comprehensive technical reports
  • Create and interpret technical drawings
  • Apply engineering principles for design analysis and statistical evaluation
  • Develop appropriate sampling plans
  • Drive innovation and process efficiency improvements
  • Contribute to new product design and optimization of existing products
