Contract type: Permanent Bracco is an international Group active in the healthcare sector and a leader in diagnostic imaging. The Group’s main products are contrast agents sold in over 100 countries, both directly and indirectly through branches, joint ventures and license and distribution agreements. We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled R&D Sustainability & Innovation Specialist to drive sustainability and environmental innovation initiatives across Bracco’s value chain. The role focuses on reducing environmental impact, supporting regulatory compliance, and advancing circular economy practices through research activities, life cycle assessments, and cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities Develop comprehensive strategies to minimise Bracco's environmental footprint. Manage innovation projects and coordinate activities with external partners. Support preparation of the Sustainability Report in alignment with CSRD standards. Monitor current literature on sustainability within the healthcare sector. Identify risks and opportunities for implementing circular economy practices across the Bracco value chain. Prepare Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) for products and processes. Design mitigation strategies to address the environmental impact of contrast agents. Assess the implications of forthcoming environmental regulations on Bracco's business operations. Produce technical documentation, draft patent applications, and prepare contracts for collaborative research programmes with third parties. Deliver presentations at scientific conferences. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, including Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), Technical Operations (Tech Ops), and Corporate Development, to align sustainability initiatives with business, operational, and regulatory objectives. Education Master’s degree in ESG, green economy, and sustainability Skills 3–5 years of experience in sustainability roles within the healthcare sector Proven experience in preparing Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) using SimaPro or similar tools. Solid knowledge of healthcare sustainability regulations. Strong research and innovation project management skills. Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and international teams.
