Summary: The R&D Technician will work to advance CORMETECH technology in carbon capture and environmental catalysis, through the synthesis and performance testing of various materials. Responsibilities: • Carry out testing on analytical equipment, small scale to pilot size reactors, and benchtop chemistry work. • Follow SOPs and Safety procedures of laboratory • Obtain, analyze, and report testing data using lab instruments • Perform basic troubleshooting and preventative maintenance plan actions on the instruments • Support the synthesis of catalyst material samples for testing evaluations • Collaborate with other scientists/engineers on development projects • Maintain clean working space in the laboratory • Perform housekeeping duties as assigned • Other duties / projects as assigned. Preferred Skills and Knowledge: • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or related field • Strong analytical ability • Previous experience with analytical instrumentation (TGA, DSC, FTIR, MS) • Background in wet chemistry procedures, including solution synthesis, serial dilutions, and preparation of reagents for experimental workflows • Knowledge of reaction monitoring, sample collection, and data analysis from laboratory-scale reactor systems Working Conditions: • Mechanical noise • Dusty and dirty work environment • Varying temperatures from warm to cool Physical Requirements: • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 40 pounds occasionally • Standing for extended periods of time • Walking, stooping, bending, crouching, twisting, climbing, and kneeling Cormetech, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
