Job Description During your assignment, you will be part of the D&EM (Developed and Emerging Markets) R&D team. You’ll be working in a high performing team, alongside peers always trying to reach the next level. You’ll be reporting to Michel Sturtz – Head of R&D Productivity. As a fully integrated team member, we welcome you to take part in the team’s activities such as team meetings, zone connects, and category meetings, which will give you a real feel for the company and the business. Get ready for a lot of exposure to internal senior stakeholders. The delivery of Ingredient Specification Simplification will be your primary responsibility. Project brief You will be supporting identifying potential to harmonize ingredient specifications across Business Units, and to perform project scoping and potentially prototyping. This will entail creating a comprehensive review of the past work done across the different Business Units using our Kraft Heinz systems, creating proposals across ingredient categories and aligning them with internal stakeholders across R&D and Procurement, and executing trials to hands-on test the harmonization proposals in the Pilot Plant. Key activities Review specification harmonization work done by R&D and other departments Identify and review current specifications between Business Units (Europe and East) Suppliers (single-sourced ingredients) Volumes Point of supply/ origin Production technology and suppliers between multiple business units. Prioritize ingredients specification harmonization based on opportunities and potential generated costing Perform preliminary (on paper) feasibility of potential harmonization (qualitative and quantitative) Carrying out a techno-economic evaluation on the outcome generated by findings Identify potential risks Present to different stakeholders' status of the project and key findings Basic Requirements for all: You should have strong communication skills and fluency in English, both written and verbal (Dutch is not a requirement but other languages are a plus) You are enrolled at a university for at least 50% study load for the duration of the internship. Non - EU Students: Need to be enrolled at a Dutch University for the whole duration of the internship. NOTE: EU working rights are required (Either you have EU Citizenship, you are studying in the Netherlands or have relevant student work visa) Team Specific Requirements Currently doing: Master’s level in Food Technology, Food Processing Technology, Food Quality or food-related engineering (Focus on Ingredient Functionality, Food Processing, Unit Operations, IT savviness) Ability to Simplify the complex We like to keep it simple. And to execute fast. Your ability to simplify will be highly appreciated when you provide simple solutions dealing with complex challenges.
