Role Title: Airborne Electronic Attack Commercial Manager Role Description: The Directorate of Combat Capability (DCC) within Air Force Capability Division undertakes capability development and realisation management for the Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) capability as part of the Air Combat Program. The AEA capability is based on the EA-18G Growler platform, along with associated systems, Fundamental Inputs to Capability (FIC) and enabling projects. DCC has a requirement for Contractor Services to support AEA capability management and introduction into service activities as required under the Air Domain’s implementation of the latest version of the One Defence Capability System (ODCS). This includes providing on-time, high quality support to the multi-disciplined capability management teams and coordinated capability activities including support to strategic planning for managing resources and sub-program priorities. This includes management of schedules, risk, budgets, preparation of briefings, submissions, reports and returns relating to sub-program progress and issues in accordance with organisational requirements, and knowledge and information management activities. Tasks: Assist DCC in: a. providing strategic business advice and independent project management recommendations for the transition and/or introduction into service of EA-18G AEA capabilities and FIC, including associated training and ancillary systems, acquired under Project AIR 5349 and other enabling projects and programs; c. conducting and documenting relevant capability management and introduction into service maturity assessments (including reviews and updates as required); d. providing technical advice and independent recommendations by assisting in coordination with the Air Combat Program and between the project and the broader Defence Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, and Electronic Warfare (ISREW) programs and the Joint EW Program; e. providing technical advice and independent recommendations by preparing and reviewing AEA enabling project and capability management documentation and to progress government approvals, Integrated Capability Assessments and Integrated Force Assurance assessments, including but not limited to, business cases, cost estimates, capability development documents and other document development, reviews and updates as required; f. under the direction of the Commonwealth task supervisor, engage and consult widely across Defence and allied stakeholders to enable execution of the AEA program and capture the data and information necessary to inform Integrated Capability Assessments and Integrated Force Assurance activities against the ongoing capability development cycle; and g. transferring specialist technical AEA,project management, commercial management and capability management knowledge and skills to APS and ADF staff in DCC. b. Provide support to timely and effective capability decisions, through development of reliable capability management artefacts against the Capability Life Cycle (CLC) and ODCS.
