* Ensure the complete, accurate and timely accounting of all transactions relevant to revenue and direct costs. * Responsible for producing accurate monthly financial statements including the analysis of key income statement lines. Comply with tax laws, relevant accounting principles, ICFR and Group policies. * Ensure timely weekly, monthly and yearly reporting to regulator in accordance with regulator guidelines and in compliance with payment service regulations. Responsible for maintaining supporting documentation for amounts reported to regulator and provide necessary details during their offsite and onsite inspection visits. * Execution of all general ledger standard controls and retention of audit evidence of the completed controls. * Ensure appropriate coding structures (General ledger, cost centre and profit centre) that meet reporting and analysis requirements. * Complete local balance sheet reconciliations (and review those prepared by the SSC) for wallet liabilities, 3 ways match (Initiation to settlement), unsettled liabilities, receivables, deferred, unbilled and unearned revenues and direct costs / OPEX accruals. Ensure supporting documentation is maintained and reconciling items are cleared in a timely manner. * Ensure a robust control mechanism for each service line and maintain a comprehensive reconciliation framework resulting in accurate accounting, internal reporting and QCB reporting. * Act as a primary lead for Preparing and finalizing finance processes mapping to customer journey for each area of service. Lead resolution of system / process issues and advise the respective teams for their proposed resolution. * Manage and identify opportunities for optimization and automation in and participate in projects to improve financial process efficiency and accuracy. * Perform any additional project, task or activities assigned/delegated by the Line Manager.

Responsibilities

This role is responsible for the complete and accurate accounting of revenue and direct costs, producing monthly financial statements, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and accounting principles. The accountant will also manage regulatory reporting, execute general ledger controls, and perform key balance sheet reconciliations.
