YOUR NEW ROLE:
This request seeks consent to recruit to a permanent level 7 Building Control Officer role. The applicant must be registered with the Building Safety Regulator as a Class 2 Registered Building Inspector.
. Whist the role in itself is not a statutory one, the local authority has a statutory obligation to discharge its duties under the Building Act 1984. This can now only be carried out under advice from a Registered Building Inspector.
