Your new role:
Southend City Council are looking for a confident and committed Environmental Enforcement Supervisor to lead a frontline team responsible for tackling environmental offences and supporting cleaner, safer communities. This is a key leadership role that combines operational oversight with community engagement, supporting the delivery of effective enforcement services across issues such as littering, fly tipping, dog fouling, waste offences, and anti-social behaviour.
As an Environmental Enforcement Supervisor, you will manage and supervise a team of Environmental Enforcement Officers to help with their effective co-ordination and deployment to deliver fair, proportionate and consistent environmental education and enforcement creatively and flexibly across the city. You will commit to strategic collaboration to deliver multi-partnership responses with other teams, key partners and agencies in order to educate, raise awareness, build community cohesion and undertake successful enforcement action against perpetrators of environmental crime.
You will assist, support and contribute to the delivery of specific work projects, as required by the Head of Service and/or the Waste Contract Manager, to contribute to team objectives and improvement of Council services.
