Job Description

Position Summary:
This position will assist the Principal Investigator with day-to-day operations of the research project. This position will assist with the delivery of the program, data organization and data management and Knowledge translation. In addition, this position will assist with ensuring clear communication with other research team members and community partners on project related items.
Organizational Status:
The position reports to the Principal Investigator
Work Performed:
Assists the Principal Investigator with the youth mental health research project:
- Performs literature searches and reviews literature.
- Assists in grant and manuscript preparation including spell check, references etc.
- Communicates with the research team and community partners concerning project related items.
- Participates in meetings with research team and community partners.
- Assists PI with analysis of the data including organizing data in excel and software programs and double checking and comparing work across multiple analyst
- Performs other related duties as required.
Consequence of Error/Judgement:
Exercises initiative, tact and discretion in carrying out the duties of the position. Errors in judgment could result in delays in the development of the research project and have significant effect on the quality of the research.
Supervision Received:
Position will work collaboratively with the PI, co-investigators, and all students on the project. Position will report to and be reviewed by the Principal Investigator.
Supervision Given:
May assist with overseeing the undergraduate students working on the project.
Education/Work Experience:
- High School Graduation and a minimum of one year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Willingness to respect diverse perspectives, including perspectives in conflict with one’s own
- Demonstrates a commitment to enhancing one’s own awareness, knowledge, and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion
