Description University Physicians' Association is seeking an experienced full-time Radiologic Technologists (RAD Tech) for University Anesthesiologists, a fast-paced, high-volume medical practice. This position will educate and position our patients to obtain a diagnostic image in accordance with the physician's order. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Performs radiographic procedures as prescribed by a physician. * Operates DR equipment. * Determines proper technique through the selection of voltage, current, and exposure time. Positions patients for the proper view of the affected area. Instructs patients as to the proper physiological requirements for the procedure. Maintains technique charts in compliance with state law. Complies with infection control procedures. Assist with radiology appropriate use criteria, radiology referrals, and prior authorizations. Ability to maintain patience and composure when faced with challenging situations. Outstanding customer service skills towards patients and team members. Requirements Minimum 1-year relevant imaging experience; preferred not required. Required: Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification Current TN Medical X-ray Operators License in MD office: Full certification Knowledge of radiographic equipment DR and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems)
Responsibilities
The Rad Tech will perform radiographic procedures as prescribed by a physician and operate DR equipment. They will also position patients correctly and instruct them on the physiological requirements for the procedure.
